Xconnect: A freeware Xming Xwin GUI
Xconnect features:
- Broadcast listing
- Show Xwin logfile directly from Xconnect
- All major settings are provided
- Customized command-line options passed to Xming
- Xconnect is freeware
Version:Xconnect currently reached version 0.8 on 28-12-2007.
Installation:
There are two steps to install Xconnect:
- Install Xming.
- Install Xconnect.
Step 1: Installing Xming:
Installing Xming is fairly simple.
You can download the Xming setup program from http://www.straightrunning.com/XmingNotes/ by selecting the installer option by the download section.
Default options should be fine for a standard installation.
Now you can proceed with the installation of Xconnect.
Step 2: Installing Xconnect:
Just install Xconnect.
If you run Xconnect for the first time and the Xming executable is not located at C:\program files\Xming\Xming.exe then Xconnect will ask you to locate the Xming.exe executable.
You should see a small black X appear in the status bar at the bottom-right of your computer screen. After you connected to an X client with Xconnect
This is the Xming Xwin server executed by Xconnect.
